Silver future

so far I have traded Copper Mini ( Feb Expiry) - It was a good experience - happy trading.

I am now looking for Silver trading with smaller lot size. I have short-listed two smaller lot size of Silver. they are as follows

(a) SilverMicro - lot size 1kg
(b) Silver 1000 - lot size 1 kg.

I have gone through the specifications of these products in MCX website. I am not sure what exactly the "Ex" means in the contract spec .

What does it mean when we say "Ex-Ahmedabad" ? does it mean Silver rates are Exclusively from Ahmedabad city ?
What does it mean when we say "Ex-New Delhi" ? does it mean Silver rates are Exclusively from Delhi city ?

Please see these screenshots :

SilverMIC

Silver 1000

my issue is I don't understand the meaning of word "Ex" in this context . does Ex = Exclusive here ?

Can anyone please throw some light on this ?

In that case I guess traders who lives near to Ahmedabad and would like to get delivery from Ahmedabad would choose contract SilverMic just for locational preference only ...right ? ....Otherwise I don't see much difference between these two contracts in terms of trading price rates ....bit confusing which product to choose for trading between these two.....I don't have any intention to take/give delivery.

By the way , from your comment I guess Ex= Excuted in this context.

U r again confusing your self. But this is wrong. Ya I am not master but I know few things about it which is I am sharing. When some body who fails to settle their trade on closing of series are bound to take deliveries from any city they belongs. Its not you residing some where. These are only product specification as like mandi in agri market. For knowledge it is good to know. If you dont want to take delivery better settle before expiry. Ex also stands for excluding. Like ex- dividend price hope you have heard this word.It is specially for hedgers who have physical delivery. Even I need to know more but this much I know.Better google it you get your answer more properly.

Re: Silver future

EXW or EX WORKS is one of the common terminologies used in Procurement that describes the buyer responsibility.

EX WORKS (DELIVERY PLACE) : A trade term requiring the seller to deliver goods at his or her own place of business. All other transportation costs and risks are assumed by the buyer. For example:- EX AHMEDABAD means, the goods will be delivered at Ahmedabad, the transportation & other related charges should be borne by the buyer.

Please refer INCOTERMS for more information.
