the process is exactly the same as BSE cash segment..e silver units get credited to your dmat a/c in t+2 day (online or cheque payment), n you can take the physical delivery of the units too (min 100 gms of coins/bar)..charges that you need to pay (in case of physical delivery) is Rs.150 for delivery, Rs.100/100 gms, Rs.200/1 kg or 5 kg (making charges)+ VAT 1% OF VALUE OF DELIVERY and Octroi 2 % (applicable in mumbai)..delivery should be taken frm exchange designated warehouses.. any other info needed.. let me know

It's great to see someone taking an initiative to answer commodities-related queries :thumb:; people almost everywhere always seem to be talking about stocks & stock-indices & therefore too many people seem to be incognizant about the fact that trading commodities can be just as fruitful. Cheers. :)

can crude oil contract can be taken as delivery?

regards
sr114
In futures- MCX/NCDEX. only 2% of the entire traded volume turns out in physical delivey. Most the contratcs gets square before the contract expiry. If on the expiry the position is open then, the buyer- seller. have to fulfill the obligation..

Hi Jack , I am new to commodity. I am interested in silver mini. can u tell me how to start .. i mean really from start..
First select a broker, open trading a/c, give a margin check (5-7% of the buy value.. say 1 lot of silver mini- 5 kg, it will cost you- current price quote of 1 kg (say 50000) multiplied by 5- gives you 250000* 5%=12500 i.e. margin cheque), a/c opening takes 2-3 days (select a good brokerage house).. start trading..

I am talking about nsel,
octroi is payable there 2 (no idea abt rate)
e silver units cant b sold to local shops (dmat units), can only b sold via exchange to other buyer.. however NSEL is coming out with an incentive where you can sell ur dmat units to jewellers and take jewellery..
No sales tax (90%- not sure on that)
