I have seen some online firms charging 4.50 a side.

If you want a full service broker expect to pay more, the firm I work for charges $95 round turn (but we are full service).

Hi Eickst,

Thanks for replying dude. Friend u are tell me about margin, that is charged on buying Gold or any commodity, and it is decided by exchange ( i think so).

But what i actually want is that brokerage percentage charge on buying/selling of gold or any commodity by any particular firm/company in the market. i would be glad, if u answer my query.

i pay a brokerage of 50 Rs per side for value upto 5 lakhs and 100 Rs for value above 5 lakhs

That's what i want to know exactly. But can u give me the name of that firm, from where u trade and few others u know, where brokage is low. As i have few relative down south, so i can do the trading from their too.

Generally it is .10% of transaction value on 1st leg and and .01% on second leg on same day.

Well depending on the client and turnover he gives to the broker the slab can be relaxed. ( Few brokers may have different rates for different commodities.)
