An interesting article of famous man mahendra sharma saying that Chinese housing bubble bursting soon, may harm metals and base metals. What do you think?
Are u talking about precious metal (gold, silver, platinum etc) or Industrial metals (copper, steel, aluminium etc) ?
IMO, Housing bubble has no impact on metals directly.. but it has impact on overall economy. So if economy is down, industries will be down and hence the industrial metals.
But precious metals have their own path. During crisis, they tend to perform well.
As commodity player, you can make money by playing in both long as well as short direction. So as long as one knows how to trade them, it just provides another opportunity. IMO, each crisis provides us opportunity, if we could see it.
