Placing an intial order in copper with broker

I want to trade in copper.My broker is charging .04% brokerage..How to place order with the broker for the first time? How many lot I should by? How much margin money I should pay?When should I sell the purchased lot?.Will senior member explain to me in simple terms? Which type of news should I follow to grasp the trade in copper?
