What are the different charges in commodity trading?
Can someone please upload a sample contract note?
Any recommendations to select a brokerage house?


geojit.com and icicidirect.com mention charges as:
Geojit.com:
Brokerage for commodity trading: 0.05% of Contract value
Exchange Leavy: 0.004% of Contract value
Service Tax: 12% of Brokerage and Exchange Leavy
Educational Cess: 2% of Service Tax
Stamp Duty: 0.001 % of Contract value

ICICIDirect.com
ICICIDirect.com mentions 0.10% (for turnover Less Than 5 Crores ) as brokerage on their site

Hi Friends,
As far as i know arcadia offers least brokerage than any other broker in commodities.
Arcadia Share And Stock Brokers, Bangalore
Brokerage for commodity trading: 0.015% of Contract value
As per Exchange laws:
Transaction cost: 0.004% of Contract value
Service Tax: 12.24% of Brokerage and Exchange Leavy
Educational Cess: 2% of Service Tax
Stamp Duty: 0.001 % of Contract value

Hi..

I'm in Fixed Brokerage Scheme, Where I'm paying only Rs.1000/month but there is no limit for Trading (infinite Crore Volume) and apart from brokerage there is an another charge is Turnover Charges is fixed as per MCX (i.e.Rs.250/crore).
Service Tax: 12.24% of Brokerage..
Educational Cess: 2% of Service Tax.
Still Confused get More details through 770 880 7088..
