Lost 1 Lac in mcx , need startegy

Dear friend,
I think now for the timebeing you must forget mcx trading, bcoz your capital is inadequate to trade. my best suggestion is now you must go for equity options carefully where you can trade with your amount to make some money and after getting your capital increased say about 1 lac then :lol:you can trade in mcx

U r in a pressure NOT TO Loose 10k. that feeling itself is a big issue.

1] Absolutley correct vijkris !! .. Its big depressive point for me ..

2] for 10k i would expect to make atleast 500 a day if leverage is considered .

3] only nse stocks and 2-3 trading in crudemini after evening
1. That big depressive point applies to me as well. :p

2. I did bar replay of my strategy with an expectation of 100% return per month, ie approx 5% return per day.
Frankly speaking i got a thumbs down and how much ever backtest i did ,it did not cross 50% return in a month.
Quoting my post from other thread:
In exceptional trending weeks one may get 50 % or more return, but if averaged out than 10 to 20 % per month looks good enough.
So now i have realistic expectation of upto 20% return per month.

i think inability to pull the trigger itself is a major issue .
If u have realistic expectation, good risk management and decent strategy which is minimum 45% accurate, then this psychological issue ll resolve in no time.

U gave a general reply to ur risk management. It has to be improved.
Go through this post and decide how many shares/lots u have to purchase so that u can survive in this market..

20% is very good. Is this strategy shared by you on this forum?

The strategy is a hybrid , some points taken from vwap and some from 2MA.
Will share the strategy as soon as possible in my trading diary thread. :thumb:

@ vinayshah - Yes i also lost about a lakh in 2 months. Here are some things are kept me on profit path since then.Money that you lose is not lost, it will come back to you in future, do not worry.

Do's
---------------
- Plan a trade and target it with 2 eyes open.
- Trade the plan and exit once target is hit. Ex: Keeping about 1-2Rs movement as stop loss.
- Trade small/mini lots instead of 1 lakh at once.
- Small profit to begin and have a mind-set for a stop loss.
- One of our fellow trader mentioned pendulum behavior and its true. Keep an eye until exit or entry.

Dont's
----------------------------
- Say no to INTRADAY, LEVERAGE and everything else that is not yours.
- Overtrading !
- Too many indicators
- Reading garbage that does not help your plan. Read only what helps.
- Avenging past losses and punching walls.
- Over depending on weekend spikes.

Relax after a trade, chill for some time before the next one, celebrate your win even though its a Rs.100 profit( It helps build confidence)

I have left forex with a mind-set that i will lose my existing account, but i found NOT TRADING with a plan and wasting time is a biggest loss of all.

HI tracer Bullet .. my trading since 2yrs ..

1) traded only 1000 shares initially .. but having loss upto 30000. made a cutdown . so basically have been trading 100 - 200 shares since 1 year

2)Try to practise bar by bar on old data .. mean manual backtesting right ? ..
I have done it already ... I gained that paper trading and live is totally different .. I want clarification in strategy ... i mean if suppose 9ema crosses 21ema upward .. should i buy ? ofcourse the theory says that .. when i dont play it my analysis goes correct ... but if I play it then it moves up a little and then reverses .. Always happening to me .. SHould I add another indicator ? BTW not a great fan of any indicators other than Moving Average , SR and Simple VWAP (not its deviation ) after 3 years of market research .. Market profiles good (didnt gave a try though) but dont have ninja and MP plugins also are very costly..
dear vinay shah the above line when I don't play it my analysis goes correct but if I play it then it moves up a little reverses and also ur expectation of 500rs on cap of 10000 daily using leverage sums up ur problem.u need to correct these problems to get profitable nothing else .will post more later when have time that's all for now.

When i dont play it it moves up when i play it it moves a bit then reverses this above thing it will happen mostly when ur not taking position consistently on ur entry setup. Mostly people decide on an entry but as soon as they get a few loses they stop miss an entry that entry moves big after watching it they get enthusiased curse themselves for not taking that entry then wait eagerly for next entry as soon as they see it pounce on it and that trade goes to loss again they skip next entry and that entry goes big then u get feeling stock moves only when ur not in it but real reason is u not taking consistent entry.so once u decide on an entry setup u need to be consistent in taking it with proper mm but most newbies amateurs commit blunders in this .

I have lost 1 Lac in mcx trading
Pl. someone guide me atleast for a strategy so to pull me out of this debt and for gods sake my last 10,000 .
Vinay,I lost 6 lakhs and left with Only 50k
you lost 1 lakh and left with Only 10k

That means, every looser left with 10% in their hands and now in a rehabilitation mode? :annoyed:

Funny thing is,I thought I'm the only in this forum who has left with on the edge capital and was feeling like any BPL Trader, but looking at you(your capital),looks like I'm APL Trader
