NSE NOW - Is this normal ?

have you experienced the above situations while trading on NOW ? pls share if you use NOW.

1. NOW throws Authentication Dialogue requiring re-entering of password RANDOMLY or if trading frequently / changing trade direction frequently in same scrip

software should ask for password only at the time of login -- or once at first trade after login.. that's it, just like NEST)

I am using using NOW for quite a sometime but never faced such a problem (if one is active). If one remains inactive for some 30 minutes (or so) or more than this, then it will ask for login password again.

2. Asks some stupid question regarding values if "Shorting"

No, NOW never asked to me atleast .

3. Additionally, asks "Are you sure you want to place this order?" (or something like that) after pressing "Submit" button on Order Window (Buy / Short / Exit) etc.

NOW asks for this, if bid - ask spread is wide (yeah, sometime its very irritating), otherwise no.

Using TradePlusOnline and they said this is normal behavior for NOW and they can't change it.


I would say NEST behaved much more sanely... or may be problem lies with TradePlusOnline.

I have used now and you cannot change these settings because it a software provided by NSE itself for trading and we restricted to the software settings.

You will have to deal with this and if you want to get away with this, you can use NEST (Next generation electronic securities trading software) which is much more convenient, user friendly and so much similar to NOW.

In addition to this, now there are some new softwares provided by brokers for your technical analysis like Pi, tradertiger, esignal and scalpert.
