Dear All,
No Rant, just my observation.

I am a new trader and learning the nuisance of market at a great pace. I have observed that whenever market moves in uni-direction or in a very predictable direction.

My NEST terminal doesn't work or go very erratic, unstable. My broker give me various excuses like "sir your internet connection is ........(fill any word)"

But on the days when market is erratic on not moves in predictable direction. On the same internet connection same hardware everything works cool.

My concern is, do brokers deliberately cut cords for small traders to benefit large traders or may be their own trading pursuit.

A particular case of today when market moving in uni-direction and my broker disconnected my terminal.
More on this, query to my broker can be seen in this thread.

Just my 2C : Whenever there is rapid moves in the market, the order frequency goes up many many folds and not all brokers have the infrastructure , net base, bandwidth etc. to handle the surge resulting in what you described in your post.

Q1. What is your internet connection type?

Q2. who is your broker?

most probaly this problem is from broker side?

Why would brokers do something like that? Most of the brokers have retail clients only. It would make sense if they had a mix of both, but apart from a few big brokers,, most of the small time brokers have only retail clients.
How do you suppose discount brokers will even survive if that is true?

Also, even hypothetically playing along.... How exactly would this help?

Brokers are fine

It;s ppls at data center and NSE IT guys playing the dirty game and omni sys is shitest best free service for data yup.
Looks like nse guys are getting some side business income from hft side. Omni nest was always the most unstable thing was they dangled some carrots Luke algorithms support or api and all was forgiven

Exactly Nest is the worst unstable trading platform I've ever seen.
One year back I asked same thing about Nest here
http://www.traderji.com/brokers-trading-platforms/94509-nest-trader-best-trading-platform.html

Nobody said a word about Nest as they thought its a revolutionary product, but clearly there were many issues popping at every brokers between times, havent noticed this thing with age old ODIN which i guess a bit charged or subsidized by the traditional brokers, but in anyway that's gonna worth a thousand times over any free software which hangs out and bars trader to login terminal uninterrupted.
