Margin Penalty Charges & Trading with Intraday Profits

#1
Hi,

Can someone share, how margin penalty charges applied on individual accounts ? Generally We are supposed to have funds on settlement day (T+1). When it can be debited from account, who will inform me? Where can i get details if penalty is submitted to exchange.

Can I carry forward position which i bought after covering overnight position or profit generated from intraday trades.

Thanks :thumb:

Best be to ask your broker ..what charges are...

generally they charge Penalty if your account don;t have funds... happened to me ....
i had one intra day trading made few thousand profit then i bought more that day as carry forward.

in morning account was in -575

i think ctt stt this charge that charge added up more then what i had so i i have to pay penalty as account is in negative lol... and this charges could be very high.

moral of story :- Always keep extra money in bank account so u can transfer instant.

Margin penalty would be applied on trade date or settlement day (T+1) ?

Supposed I traded today, and have short of margin 50000, but on settlement day, my account will have funds so will i be charged for short margin ?
