Finally I give up on ICICI Direct - Any good brokers for Margin Trading?

#1
Hi!

I am an intraday margin trader in equity segment & despite having heard & read enough horror stories about the high brokerages of ICICI Direct, I continued to stick with them since they offered:

1. A good no. of stocks for margin trading (about 670 scrips when I last counted);
2. A good leverage/ amount of margin on most stocks;
3. Margin trading till 3:16 pm on short positions and till 3:30 for long positions;
4. Overnight carry forward of long positions for T+2 days with margin amount
5. A pretty robust software system for online trading (definitely better than Zerodha stories). I remember only 3-4 incidents in the last 5 years when I was unable to trade due to technical glitches with ICICI Direct
6. Margin trading allowed even on extremely volatile event days such as budget days and Modi election result day (made a fortune on the election result day).
7. Seamless (and immediate) withdrawal of funds from trading a/c to my bank a/c.

The reason I am finally giving up is that the ICICI Direct website has recently been re-configured in a manner that I am unable to view the entire list of stocks offered by ICICI Direct for Margin Trading (or for that matter, I am unable to view the entire list of stocks offered for Equity Trading in any segment, whether on NSE or BSE).
The Customer Support team is unable to understand this simple issue for last one week now.

Was wondering if there is any other Broker that can offer the best of the above 7 points. Since I have continued to stick with ICICI Direct for so long now, hope that it is evident that Brokerage is not an issue. The only requirements as outline above are that the software support system should be robust, fast and the broker should offer lots of stocks for margin trading, for maximum time and maximum leverage.

In short, if I make enough money, I don't mind paying high brokerages.

Thanks

Had the same issue with other brokers, profits were eaten up by brokerage.
Shifted to a Discount broker, but got little leverage, especially as I am a positional trader in the Cash Market.

Apparently now, these Indian Trading League guys at SAMCO are giving you the ability to carry forward cash market positions.
