Hi!

They are charging Rs.20/- per trade whereas there are other discount brokers who are less than them like SAS online,Compositedge & Smart Online.

Cheers!!

Dear Friends,

After comparing all the brokers in detail, I think VPSshare is the best amongst all. The charges taken by all brokers are fixed per segment, hence when u trade less you are at a loss. But with VPS if total brokerage of month is less than 1700 they calculate it as Rs. 10/- per order. This brokerage (10 per order) is also the least amongst all brokers. Others charge Rs. 15-20 per order. Also their yearly AMC fee is less & opening charges are nominal. They also offer good margins. I have searched the net but didnt find any complaints against them. Here is the CDSL link to list of complaints by investors :

Please share your views.

Net cost of trading is most important along with fluidity of execution of trades. If any one is compromised then the broker is not good enough.

These brokers may advertise low brokerage cost but make up for it in turnover charges. For eg. Zerodha charges 3.9 per lakh and my current Discount broker charges Rs.3 (where as NSE charges only Rs.2 for FnO)

Approximately, Zerodha is higher by Rs.2.80 per lot than what they advertise. Essentially, Zerodha brokerage is Rs.20 per trade plus Rs.2.80 per lot.

In addition to the brokerage costs, I would also be worried about the safety of my money.. I don't want to save 500 Rs every month only to loose everything to the broker who gives excess leverage... :) As Sarkar says "Nazdiki Fayda sochne se pehle, door ka nuksaan sochna padta hai" :)
