Zerodha, same product but customised to your needs?
Zerodha initially named their software as 'Evo'..not sure why they changed it to 'pi'.

Ofcourse, it is a well known fact that they have taken the framework from modulusfe.com's financial product. Modulus's client base includes the stalwarts of the business like CME group, Credit suisse, RJO Brien, Nasdaq, Goldman sachs, merrill lynch, etc...Zerodha might be their first Indian broker client(there might be hedge funds using them)..

As some other member said, there is no need to reinvent the wheel as long as the original wheel suffices our needs :thumb:

Hi, Zerodha,

I want a frank answer from Zerodha, if they want to tell. But it is important to us (please don't ignore it).

As PI Trading Platform is based with C#, it would be easy for many traders(with programming knowledge) to rewrite their personal AFL (used for Amibroker/Metastock/MT4) for PI.
But can a zerodha employee copy such AFL/Template from a successful trader(they can easily identify) without our knowledge? How safe is to use our own innovated/modified secret indicators with PI comparing to Amibroker/Metastock?

--------
How about adding a 'Importing window on PI' for database import to Amibroker/Metastock just like Amibroker has a 'Metastock Database Importer'? It will give us more flexibility. :)

Best Wishes.
Happy Trading.

Yeah, we will probably decide something on this soon. Probably something like saying everyone who is generating between Rs 300 to Rs 500/month as brokerage is an active trader.
@ zerodha,
as small learning trader. i took trades only on capital of Rs.2000. so i generate brokerage from 30 to 50 on daily basis. if i got zerodha challenge, and may be i win, then you have no brokerage from me. how can this situation considered?

i think this is a silly question. but if i not reached brokerage that month, is there any penalty charges?

another, if an active trader stops trading for a month as his personal problems, or he did not reached your brokerage target, how is you took that situation?

Hi friendforever,

Working on our own platform. Have seen the other platform before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyvaAiP9OtQ - saw some issues with it on maintaining it long term so opted not to use that source code.
But, after seeing the above video, it only boost up my confidence about the Success of PI. :) :clapping:

Best Wishes for PI. :thumb:

1. Considering Brokerage per Quarter (3 months) would be easy for traders. They can take long holiday break more easily.
2. Also if a swing trader is trading on hourly charts he/she can get only 3-4 signal for some months. They might be compensating you indirectly :p by big volumes /turnover (like 20-30 Cr turnover/month).

More flexible options can benefit both Zerodha & their Clients. :)

Happy Trading.

In the semi auto version, your strategies run on your system so no one else can access that.

If you completely automate it, the strategies have to be taken approval at the exchanges, so even though the strategies run on your system, there is always a tiny risk.

But you can be rest assured nothing like that happens.
