Nest Plus on Traderji

Better late then never.

We've seen a lot of action on traderji for Nest Plus (both bouquets and brickbats).

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to a host of new products on Nest Plus and at the same time help you use the existing products much better.

Do come back to us with your questions/comments.

Welcome...

We would like to know more about algo trading in Nest Plus and some standard codes for some profitable methods which Nest Plus may have developed and how to configure and trade them in Nest Plus .

Thank you Smart Trade.

Algo Trading on Plus:

We have two main tools to help you do this, one is Nest Pulse which is pre integrated with the order management system (so no coding for placing/managing orders). You can write your strategies based on technical indicators very easily here and then backtest the same. Once backtested you can take your strategy live. If you share the strategy logic we can help you create these strategies on Pulse.

The other tool is Nest Plus trading plugin which can be integrated with Amibroker, Falcon and other tools like Matlab. Here you need to do the coding of the strategy yourself. This might need some expertise.

We can however provide strategy writing services for both the tools above.

Other than this we have introduced a few new tools like i3 which are essentially execution algos i.e. they allow you to slice a large order into smaller chunks to get better average price and also to hide your quantity.

A point to note is that the exchange/SEBI mandates that you need to be a dealer of a broker to be able to completely automate your trading. If you're not a dealer, for each signals you will get a pop you which you will need to accept before the order is sent to market.

Hope this helps.

Also Nest Plus is just a technological provider, we do not have any research capability, we can help you write the strategy but the logic has to come from the trading wizards like yourself :)

Fair enough...we have trading ideas but no knowledge of coding.

Your website states that the Nest Plus Starter Pack will be free upto March 2013.

What will be the status post March? Could you let us know the plans and pricing.

Have read your post: I still like to ask the question: Are you in any way a market maker or what is your connection to any market?

Are you just programmers and how and who is with you?

Do you work with veteran pit and floor traders and if not, how do you develop your codes?

What are they build on?

No. For all future purposes keep in mind that completely automated trading is not allowed for the end user. However if you are a dealer of a broker or if you can get that privilege you can use automated trading.

Order slicing is an automated trading feature on i3.
