Diet Odin Error

Hi

I use Win 7 64bit (ultimate). BSNL BB. Desktop.
I have recently installed Diet Odin from my broker's site (Guinness Securities). But unfortunately I am having a lot of trouble with this software as I tried to test it today (26th Jan). I understand that I am not supposed to see any data as the exchanges are closed, I just wanted to see if the log in works correctly. The errors are as follows:

1. As I click the Desktop shortcut (run as Administrator), after few seconds of waiting, I get a small window informing me" The request has timed out". As I click the "OK" button of the window, the main windows opens up.

2. As I try to log in giving my Client ID and PW, after waiting for few more seconds, I get another error related to "Connection integrity". Please note that my connection is perfect, and I can browse without any problem.

Am I getting these errors because the exchanges are closed for now or there is something wrong with the configuration?

Please help.

You get this error if servers are shut, generally it happens on holidays

Thanks for our response. Btw, do you mean that server shutdown is the cause for both the the errors or only the second one?
Btw, is there any good guide on how to use this Diet ODIN? Do pint me to one, if there is any.
