1. Now in NEST (MCX Commodities) I amgetting 4 days data, few days back it was 2 days data, but there is no option to choose the 10 days data as mentioned by you earlier. Where is that option to choose?

2. What is the cover order option in zerodha trader, how are we supposed to use it? where is the education material to use the new terminal??

We are storing data from the beginning of the week. So everyday from now you will see an incremental number of days of data. In 10 days from now you will be seeing 15 days data..

Cover order option is where you can put the order and stop loss at the same time.. This is available for Equity and not commodity... We will be putting up training material as soon as we have some features that we are planning.. Until then you can check out the link:

certain questions and replies are often repeated, why dont you make a FAQ of those repeated queries relating to terminal, ac/opening/ backoffice etc and keep them updated in your site..it wld b easier for everyone to find all relevant matter at one place,
you could also have kept those as a post here, but i think after a while you cannot edit yr posts in zerodha so think of something like a long FAQ in yr blog/education section
You will see this on our site very soon..

I am still not clear about the cover order, does it mean that we put a limit order and also the sl order at same time, and when limit order gets executed the sl order goes to the exchange?

Ya, you don't have any other alternative other than this. But you should know their reply before shooting an email, instead of sending statement or ECN, their stock reply will be.
"The Margin Statement has been sent out from our end today. Please check your email and also your spam folder. Also, if you don't receive your margin statement analysis report, you can always log into your back office personal ledger and view it anytime you wish to by keying in the date."

अरे भई, why one will ask for a duplicate copy of MS or ECN if he has one in the inbox. And why not send MS/ECN at the first instance instead of posting the stock reply. And why one should go to backoffice and spend time for such a petty thing.

Non receipt of MS or ECN has become a regular feature of Zerodha working. Don' know why, and why they are not rectifying it.

Backoffice,
The less you say about it, is better. Using their backoffice is like a blackspot on the working of Zerodha, its a real hurdle one has to cross.
You can not open backoffice except using internet explorer.
What the hell, who is using IE in the age of safari, mozilla and chrome etc.
One may not have IE working good all the time, as with me. My system always trouble me whenever I try to use IE. (and why should I get it repaired and pay a good amount to the computer mechanic, when I do not use IE for anything, only for Zerodha backoffice)

Then, by using IE anyway, you succeeded in log into their backoffice, it will be difficult to find, what you want to get.

OK, anyhow by clicking here and there you got what you want, then when you click for a download it will show an error (sorry I do not remember the exact words at the moment) or will download a page but without any data.

To get and download something from their backoffice is really frustrating and so I have stopped using their backoffice since long.

So left with only one alternative, back to square one, shoot a mail.

I sent them an email for non receipt of the daily documents yesterday but did not get any reply from them till now, not even their stock reply.

Its really... (sorry I just can't express it here)
i have not faced any problem downloading the ECN etc from backoffice, but when I tried to download in excel then a problem arises, for that you have to change certain parameters in internet explorer, ask zerodha about it, giving them a screenshot

But I fully agree that backoffice needs further improvement and should be accessible from other browsers, no doubt about it..

In cover orders, the entry has to be using a market order and SL can be either in terms of price or in terms of % movement..

Very interesting for day traders and we will be running this as a tutorial soon.. We will also give additional margin benefits for intraday traders using cover order..

I sent the bse enabling and segment addition form on 9th aug. Please arrange to do migration and bse enabling early. I want to open commodity a/c also.

Thanx for the clarification, but it would be nice if you can give the 1month prior data with an option to choose 30 days data or 2-3 days data as per convenience of the client.

@myinvestment, very surprised that our sales team didn't help your friend. They are a highly incentivized bunch and never let go of a lead. If you can share the number, will personally call and help him out, hopefully this way the grudge you have with us reduces.. ;)..

If i had a grude i would have not told my frined to open the account with you people , any ways now he opened account with RKSV they have promised on monday if they dont open then he will knock back on your door

The problem i had with you was you ppl not letting me sell options against my stocks , but that problem is also solved thanks to contract note at you website which and showed to religare people and they reduced my options brokerage from 15 rs to 6 rs per lot

But if you try telling us that you are a complete broker offering all the services without offering them i will still disagree and will still write against
That what happened to murthy was not justified a big trader like me with huge postions could loose more money in one day then he would save in whole month of brokerage if somethig like that happens :mad:

IF you are doing some finger to any one account you can inform him in advance :clapping:

As long as we were of any help to you, even if it was reducing your brokerage somewhere else...

One of those greek fables say , Every truth has two sides; it is as well to look at both, before we commit ourselves to either...
