I don't think you will get MT4, MT5 in India soon.
--------------

Here is info from NSE
http://www.nseindia.com/content/pres...atavending.htm
EOD data - Capital Market and Futures & Option Segment 25,000 per year.
Historical eod data CM Rs. 15,000/- (individual) for per year, means if you want 10 yrs hist data, will cost you 1.5 Lac.
Check this
http://www.nseindia.com/content/pres...TimeTariff.pdf
Software Products/ Websites 16,00,000/- per year for Cash market
Software Products/ Websites 16,00,000/- per year for FNO
++++ there is variable Rs. 300 per month per user. First 300 users free.
These are pure data costs, infrastructure costs extra.
NSE sells historical IEOD as well.
------------
If one do not have license, one can not get in distributing data.
Customers mean, if you are sharekhan, Zerodha customer and you may use third party tools (like josh's utility) to import, export to any charting product, but it's like you are doing on your own.
This is reason, no broker (except interactive brokers as they have license for it) provides data to charting app.
Broker can provide charting within terminal as per CTCL (Computer to Computer (CTCL) trading / Internet based Trading) app rules.
There are only 12 CTCL vendors in India.

Omnesys NEST and Financial Technologies ODIN have major market share.

Prominent vendors empanelled with NSE include Omnesys Technologies, in which the exchange itself holds 26 per cent stake through a subsidiary and Jignesh Shah-promoted Financial Technologies India, which is NSE's rival in the currency derivatives segment and Religare Techno Global Services.
Here is interview of Omnesys CEO given in 2010.

Note: MT4 /MT5 is not CTCL approved, so it is not provided by any broker in India.

Thank you bro,
I am not sure why that additional cost of nest plus..? Why they cannot directly make a plugin from amibroker to Ztrader.

Nyways..
Can you brief me about the entire cost from acquiring the amibroker data fedds etc (any additional cost) would incurre per month?
zerodha trader is not zerodha's and it is a platform developed and owned by omnisys company.
ofcourse the same company can only create an api to automate the trading in their platform and incidentally they are charging for the same.
Zerodha can not do much here.
But as far I remember the nest plus service is not that costly major cost will be GFDL datafeed.

No idea abt the total cost.
go try for one month and let us know here :D

Hi Sachin,

I have a query regarding order entry.

Is it possible to make an api which is like you can place multiple order in system but

second order triggers only when first executed and so on....like thinkorswim platform

order trigger sequence?????

will be great help!!!!!!
The problem is that exchange considers these as algo trading, we are hoping that exchange opens up about this, it is a very simple to offer otherwise...

Leave the choice of number of days to the user.

If his terminal is stuck, he will select lesser number of days or he can have
the complete chart.

Originally you said a choice will be given between 2 days and 1month, but you
have reduced the data on your own, without information.

And the quality of data in NestTrader is very poor. Several records have zero
values for OHLC and no steps have been taken by you in the last few months.

If the quality of the data continues to be like this, it doesn't matter really if
you are giving two days' data or two months' data..
The problem is it is tough to keep everyone happy.. :) ... Whatever we do there is someone who wants it differently. But we are trying out a feature where default we show a chart which doesn't hang on a basic system and basic internet... Then a guy can Zoom in to a higher data period if his system can handle...

Thank you for this info..

Looks like it has, as of now, started with only Equity section, is it?
For commodity anywhere near?

A bit of confused.
I am having the Zerodha Trader as well as amibroker, than why I need the Nest plus? It cannot work directly from amibroker to Zerodha trader platform?

Also can you brief me about the total cost would incurred to have this automation done? (from including software cost to data feeds etc..)
AMI for commodity probably not possible as Global data feeds haven't started data vending for commodities.

You can use NEST pulse if you want to put up strategies on commodities...

You need to subscribe to Plus, because that is the gateway to access the Trading platform...
