Confused - RKSV or Zerodha ?

#1
Hi,

Im new to this community , new to trading as a whole . Till now was my learning phase , though it will continue for years to come , I would like to start off small and see how good trading is for me .
Since I will start off small (25k to start with and give it a go) , I am very much interested in futures (not options as im not comfortable with the whole complicated stuff in there yet!) . I am also interested in intraday equity .

I know most of you will say that as a new trader , I shouldnt be going for intraday , rather focus on swing trades , but you can see that I dont wanna risk more than 25k and as you all know , swing trading with such a less amount will not prove to be benificial , it might even make my interest in the trading world just vanish soon.

Well , now coming to the topic , Im confused weather to go for RKSV or Zerodha ?
Till today I was thinking of going with zerodha , but as I read more on this forum , Im confused . Please advice.

Here are some details which might help you advice me better :
1. I Will be trading intraday (equity + fno) and if required futures overnight shall follow soon.
2. I Require margin ,atleast so as to be able to trade with 1 lot nifty futures with my capital.
3. A Margin on my stocks would be good as I will increase the size of my capital once im comfortable and will start building my portfolio.
4. I dont need a holding hand , neither do I need tips.
5. I will not be scalping as much as normal intraday trading (but around 3 trades / day would be a minimum I suppose i.e. 3 buy and 3 sell)

Anything else you might need to know to help me choose between them , please shoot your queries.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Well Zerodha & RKSV are both very good discount brokers.

You have explained your situation in a very good manner.

As far as my experience in trading goes I can certainly say that starting days in Intraday trading are very rigorous. Lot of stress is involved.

With RKSV one thing is certain and that is about volumes. A trader whose Volumes are high will benefit a lot trading with them. In the time to come when you will be able to comprehend market your Volumes will increase and then you will be very much interested in Unlimited Plan as offered by RKSV.

As a newbie you will have to consider to keep your costs bare minimum . This brings in the role of brokers who have per lot trading charges . So for that Zerodha & RK Global have their advantages. You will be under no stress of monthly commitments with them and can concentrate more on trading not worrying about number of trades .

I started trading just as you have narrated and that time my volumes were not big and per lot charges seemed to be very lucrative. Now I trade with RKSV as my volumes are high involving Options Trading.

Best of Luck. :thumb:
