what is GROUP Settings in NSE NOW ?

When I log into NSE NOW I get this screen



I dont understand GROUP SETTINGS . Can anybody please explain what is this for ?

group settings means the market watch with open high low close column

so next time set ur market watch with the column settings and get the buy n sell [F1 n F2]

I'm still not clear . I have looked at the pic you posted.

What I understand is you just added 6 scrips (icici ,idea, reliance ,relinfra,tata motor, relcapital) in a Now2AMIMW group. But how does this help you ?

I could just add these 6 scrips in Market Watch directly ... is not it ?

How does one can get benefit making a group like this ?

group means the market watch u r watcin. the scrip u add. now wat u call it may be ur discretion. group helps to identifi the scrip u added and u buy or sell.

it may be u just watch or u buy or sell scrips- it depends upon u

Once you add a script in group , can you remove it ?

I added two scrips in my group "test" and tried remove one scrip ....remove is not working ...is it not possible to remove a script after addition ?

A trader may have multiple market watches depending on how he likes to categorize his scrips. It may be Nifty50 / midcap / smallcap, or by industry such as Auto / Pharma / FMCG, or by Futures / Options / Underlying, or by portfolio type. Group Settings help you manage multiple market watches (assume a MW is a group).

Remember that, in NOW, a MW can have a max of 55 scrips, though it is usually kept smaller so that all are visible on the screen. You will find that Group Settings is mostly used near expiry. Also, the groups are saved so that you see the same settings in the NOW terminal and the web based version.

To delete a scrip from a group / market watch, select it and press Del.

In your image, you have not yet created a group. Give a name and click Add Group; it will show in the Group Name list. The context menu, when you right-click on an item in this list, shows many powerful options.

Click on that scrip and press "Delete"
