TO TIMEPASS,
Yes you are correct. But we have to move forward, that's why we need nest and nest plugins.Nest and nest plugins are excellent and nest is capable of commodity, currency trading, nse, bse, and most advanced tradingtools.Sadly most of the nest plugins are not compatible with NOW.Thus the need for upgrading to nest.I don't bother if I charged for the nest software.

Whatever the trading platform - whether baba aadam ke time ka, or a fancy colorful chartswala - the first thing it has to provide is fast and accurate data, NOW wins this parameter hands down.
NOW does that, no doubt. But TP, The speed or accuracy of the data is not the issue here. It is the way we are restricted by these shoddy trading platforms to take full advantage of the data! In other words, a BMW is a BMW in both Germany and India. But driving it here on potholed roads is a nightmare. But on autobahns in Germany the pleasure is beyond expression! :D

But hey! If you are happy driving the Nano, thinking it as BMW, so be it then!

Apna to aisa hai na bhai, ki give me a BMW and I'll be happy driving it, thinking of it as my Kinetic, and I'll drive it as my Kinetic :D :D

Well said, KSP. This Nest and pulse are just disgrace, created by some dimwits who are worse than the ones who write buggy freeware software. I didn't expect this sh!t from people at Zerodha.

I don't know about you guys, but I would rather pay double the brokerage for a highly sophisticated MT4 kind of trading platform than these attractively priced brokerage deals, with useless trading platforms. They are inherently designed to make them rich and us, trading addicts.:D
But zerodha has NO fault at this. As discount brkg ....they cant invest in making high class software.......and sadly Zerodha has to provide...what ever available in the market as of now....and our market has all ...shitty software....

Only Hope is zerodha will provide better when it grows even bigger...

software industry has to change in India yet....

actually nest now...is better than germany's trading software....I traded it ...it was bad exp...software was so crap ...that I stopped trading...and even got email asking why I stopped....which I didnt bother to reply...

In that way our software's are way better....
But brkg ...is actually helpfull in all way....plz comapre to other broker charging hell out of it...with zero service...

MT4.....most will pay ....even 4x if needed....brkg......But sadly NSE.....you know what they are upto for retail traders....

And ICICI ....charging highest ever brkg ....and giving shitiest ...software that too...with charges of 75/mo.....

Bhai All I can say is ZERODHA changed the scenario ......still there is a hope...it change even more....

Couldn't agree more, sunny bhai. Zerodha changed the scene. And for good. It will never revert back to crooks like Religare and all the big mafia houses. Some of its people ( who are my personal friends) are very decent, honest, hardworking human beings. And I also agree that this NSE monoply is the main reason that we are in the 'baailgaadi' zamaana... But still, having said that, zerodha should have done a better job in trading platform. I hope that, when the time comes, they would be the first to be integrated with MT4! :)

Hey guys,

Wow lot of good discussion over the weekend. Wanted to go over why our technology team felt that NSE NOW is the best platform for now.

- It is the only retail platform at NSE Colocation. Any other retail platform (Odin, NEST, etc...) are all hosted outside of NSE Colocation. You will incur a latency cost by doing so. As of now, they have not allowed any other retail platforms within the NSE building.

- Using NSE NOW ensures that you will get amazing order response times. Since other platforms are hosted by brokers themselves, they will have to get separate order placement lines to the exchange. These lines cost money and won't guarantee you the fastest order response times when a broker sends in hundreds of orders at once.

- Getting approval by foreign vendors is not easy and quite expensive. It will take some creativity to maneuver and achieve a low cost platform that is of international standards.

That being said, we are not giving up on finding you guys better solutions. We understand that it doesn't offer all the bells and whistles that you'd like and it's our job to find a good marriage between price and product. We are working on all fronts to see how to best move forward and will keep you updated as we get more developments.

Best,

RKSV

I wonder if the entire RKSV team is as cool, level headed and knowledgeable as the gentleman answering queries here [btw, what is your name? i know Sachin responds for Zerodha thread].

nice to see so much insights being shared here on matters that we as retail investor/trader tend to take lightly...

thumbs up....

Hi viharpatel,

I believe you will only see NSE pre-open prices. We'll check and let you know if it's any different.

Best,

RKSV
