DP & online broker for small investor

#1
Hi,
Can anybody suggest a good DP & online broker for a small investor in India? I wouldn't actively engage in day trade & my trading volumes wouldn't be high. I'm interested in investing in Mutual Funds also. Most importantly, I should be able to place orders to buy/sell after trading hours (evenings/nights). Speed during day trading is not a requirement. I should be able to buy shares & mutual funds & maintain them all in my DP account through my online broker. I need suggestion, especially in the wake of SEBI cracking its whip on leading DPs/brokers.

i have an a/c with icici. perfect for people who is interested in delivery trade only.
other brokers may score over icici in many fronts but when it comes to fund transfer theres no match with icici.
when you sell something your a/c gets credited. one must understand the difference between 'your a/c with your broker' and your 'bank a/c'. most of the brokers credit your a/c with them and you have to place an request for fund transfer which is really not in the spirit of on-line broking. with icici the credit directly goes to your bank a/c.

i do not have to say much about the reliability factor.

cheers,
jdm.

How good is Sharekhan for the stated purpose? Their site says "We're glad to announce that you will now be able to invest in Mutual Funds through us! We've started this service for a few mutual funds, and in the near future will be expanding our scope to include a whole lot more." I would like a comparison between ICICIdirect & Sharekhan for the requirements stated in the initiated post.
