Zerodha for dummies

Ok. So, I got a Zerodha account, I have defined marketwatch etc.. Now what ? A lot of stuff is too technical and there are many terms that I am not aware of. So, here goes.

I asked Zerodha in their thread about the margin required and got a reply. It is available on the backoffice page on the right hand side, a pdf file that you can download (by right-clicking) or open simply by clicking on it.

Here :

Look at 10th (Total %) and 11th (Total Amount) Columns..... For BankNifty it is 11.06%, 11.11% and 11.14% for the 1 Month, 2 Month & 3 Month Contracts respectively...

These are for Overnight Position..... For Intraday 40% of this; ie; around 4.5% :)

How do I reconnect/refresh the marketwatch ?? It seems to hang up quite often. I know there is an auto-reconnect feature, but is there an F5 (refresh) option ??
Preference......>Settings........>General............>RECONCILE.

Click on Reconcile (TWICE).

RECONCILE......is the biggest joke in NOW Terminal.

On Reconnection, only place to know Real Status is.......F11.

It gives only Net Position.

Forget about Order Book or Trade Book.

Perhaps ,the biggest PLUS point with Zerodha is ,it connects to Internet
automatically if connection is disrupted. Generally with other terminals you
need a fresh LOGIN ,that is USERID+TRADING password+TRANSACTION
password.Every system has merits and demerits.

Reconcile and transaction password after every login is such a headache.......:(....specially if you are in a hurry and NOW asks for transaction password ...and your price gone...specially if you have to frequently logoff....
