Has anyone tried out this broker? Their rates seem to be very low and I guess there is some catch. www.halfpaisaonly.com

Hi,
halfpaisaonly.com brokerage packages are available on their site. There is no other catch to it. It seems they are discount e-brokers

The small print says:
1. Software Cost (One time non refundable) Rs. 5,000, Maintainance Charges Rs. 500/- (per month) The catch, or whatever u call it, would be you start with a drawdown of 11000/- for year one. (i.e u will have to pay 11000/- in year one over and above the brokerage) Btw the brokerage is v attractive! Regards Sanjay

halfpaisaonly.com have reduced there software cost to Rs 2500 from Rs 5000. They provide ODIN Diet Client 6.2.0.5 version.They have also reduced there initial margins.

But unicorn....where other brokers ask for low initiatl margin....without any comittment or repeated expenses like maintaince....why should 1 go for halfpaisa........

Best to stay away from these smaller players like halfpaisa, 16anna (even if they are registered) etc... until they earn some credibility, stick to the the bigger players

In Halfpaisaonly.com the Transaction charges includes (1) Exchange Turnover Levy And (2) Stamp Duty.They have also introduced a new scheme for Day Traders.

Halfpaisaonly.com have reduced their monthly account maintenence charges to Rs 250 from Rs 500.They will also adjust Rs 2500 Software cost against brokerage within 30 days.
