Hi ,

am using sharekhan for last 1 year.
I have been facing this issue of short delivery couple of times now.
last week (25th May) i placed limit order for 9 shares of VIP. at end of the day, i got mail and sms saying that order has been executed at the set price.
I also got the mail about transaction details with price and brokerage.
but now after a week, they mailed as below. can you please shed some light on this.
"We would like to inform you that the 9 shares of Vip Industries Ltd. have been received short at our end from the Exchange. We are expecting deliveries or close out in respect of your entitlement in the next 1 or 2 days time after the Auction. We would be crediting the same on receipt from the Exchange after Auction Pay-Out"

Thanks in advance.

thanks Ravi..
they said i'll get money back if there is no seller at that (last week's) price.
but how does this auction take place?
what will be the price for that?
cos last week i had placed order at 637 per share, but now its priced at 750 :(
i would have made profit of 115 per share :(

hi Prst

whatever price the auction takes place, u will get the shares on the price u had purchased..just in case nobody offers shares in auction, u wd get a cut off rate frm the exchange which wd be around 20% above the highest price frm the date of ur purchase and the time of delivery (roughly)

regards
