Congrats ZERODHA for recognisation and featuring on Economic times .

But last in article says "In the past, some leading retail brokers had launched versions of online discount broking, but had to wind up as the business was not viable because of higher overhead costs, including real estate, research and staff. "

Is ut happening to u guys?? I mean r u in profiting business or in losses expecting huge turnovers in future and there by making profits in future. In which state u r in presently ???
Hi Praddy, the only guys who tried to launch something similar, actually not similar.. ;) was reliance money, you had to pay 3000 upfront for every 6cr and still pay 15Rs, so definitely not similar...

These people decided to work at lower margins, but they went ahead setup 200 branches, hired 1000 people and so on!!! A low cost business can't be run like that!!!

We are a profitable business and are looking at different ways to keep you surprising!!! :)...

Thanks ,for keeping us SURPRISING !!!

Thanks for keeping focused on business rather than going for wild expansion
throughout the country. You can still expand your business by going for
trading into commodities,currency (not forex)...etc.

Zerodha operates from 1 single location, hence no need to open posh branches in each part of the city = Cost Saving !
Zerodha does not provide fancy research report prepared by "analysts" = Cost saving.

In fact, such businesses are the ones that'll survive any turn of events.

When do you plan to come out with an IPO....... Considering the present situation, the price of Zerodha Vs the price of Broking Sector would probably move in opposite direction...

Would also give the opportunity to the people to Trade in Zerodha through Zerodha :)

Keep up the good work!!!!!!

Congrates..ZERODHA

"Zerodha clock an average daily turnover of Rs 1,000 crore within a year of its launch" Thats Great !!!

Now once again we are waiting for reduce in NSE Chrges (Regulatory charges), Zerodha promise that turnover increase and charges will reduce...so now time comes.. Please reduce in Option Rs 8000 to 6000 per Crore and In Future Rs 540 to 350 Thanks in Advance...
