Best broker for NRIs

#1
I am located in Singapore and would like to know the options for a NRI to open an online brokerage account for shares and MFs. I am aware of ICICI and HDFC and wondering if there are other brokers as well. I would be grateful if someone can help me out.

I am also looking for an online broker in India offering shares and equity derivatives trading. I am an NRI living in Sydney. I know that shares trading is offered by many, but can somebody suggest an online broker who also offers equity derivatives (options). Any suggestion will be most appreciated.

Thanks Alpesh for the links. They certainly offer NRI to trade, but does not spell out the conditions which is my interest. Anyway after weeks of research I have now found out a few things as follows:

  1. An NRI can trade in only delivery equities
  2. An NRI can trade in derivatives only with a NRO account (that is, funds are non-repatriable)
  3. I wanted to trade via my Superannuation Fund (my wife and I are its trustees). I understand that RBI has banned any trade by an "Overseas Corporate Body" which has over 60% NRI ownership
To summarise, if you wish to trade as an individual and want to be able to repatriate your funds anytime then equities are the only option (probably non-intraday trading, but I am not sure). If you wishes to trade as an individual and in derivatives then its non-repatriable. If you wish to trade via a partnership, company, trust, etc, forget it!
If anybody can confirm or elaborate on my understanding that will be most appreciated

Thanks for the links Alpesh. In addition what I have found is that even amongst brokers who claim to offer NRI services, they dont do so for residents of all countries. For example, Reliance told me they dont offer brokerage services for residents of Singapore.
