Changing Broker

I was having a three in One A/c with Standard Chartered. But as I was not satisfied I opened another Trading Account with Kotak who also opened a new DP A/c. Now I want to transfer shres held in my Demat A/c with Standard Chartered to New demat A/c with Kotak. What is the procedure and charges for same? Depository for both the Cos is NSDL. Thanks in advance.

As per SEBI rules thery have to be transfered free of charge but brokers tend to charge some amount as closing charges.

Hallo Everybody,
Today I use 3-in-1 account in icicidirect.com.I am willing to open another broking account Like Angel, India Info, Or Ventura. I open only broking account not open Demat account to Angel, India Info, Or Ventura. I link same Icici bank demat account to new broking account . What advantages or disadvantage or face problem? Is it expensive broking company charge more?
Please give me guide about this matter.

Hi Amit,

I also have an ac with standard chartered and i find it really satisfactory. What was the thing that you did not liked about the standard chartered account?
