While I try to sell the share([email protected]) from my HDFC demat account today ... a dialog box appeared which show that the 'Share fall short in DP's account' which I'm holding for more than 15 days....and instruct me to select the DP accnt. no. from the text field and submit the same.
Following the process results nothing.
Later checking order and trade book and found no data regarding the same.
Any clarification by the experienced will be appreciated
Thanx.

Firstly, if the buy/sell does not proceed to the confirmation dialogue -- for any reason: funds, DP, incorrect input -- it will not show in the order or trade book.

Have you checked if your DP shows the shares in your account? My Trading Account -> Hold & Release -> Demat Balances. If they do, try first putting the shares on hold from that menu and then placing the buy/sell order.

Am suggesting this as a couple of times a buy/sell did not get through as I had not placed funds on hold.

Otherwise, there is not much else except to call up HDFC Sec helpline.
