Edelweiss Securities - Did anyone open the account

I get a call or two from Edelweiss almost every week asking to open a trading account with them.

Last time around I asked the person who called me about their brokerage structure. Specifically I asked what will be the brokerage charged from me if traded 20 lots of Nifty Futures on every trading day? I got no answer against this simple question.

Thank God, he didn't ask what is nifty futures?

With your volumes of trade, brokaerage charged will be .005% for F&O and intraday

I agree i tired calling their 1800 no one picked up the whole i guess its a new kid in the block. Who are you trading with?

I have had an trading account with:
edelweiss.in
for over a month. i think i am very satisfied. the brokerages are competitive and i find the research very helpful too.

There research team is one big loser, they have 1/4 hit/miss ratio. They provide ODIN 'only' to HNI or someone who is willing to pay hell lotta money

Kotak is one among the best in research team, charges wise I think RK is best so far.

depends on personal experience. you may have had a bad experience with them. so far my experience has been good. it is like horses for courses ...

I do not have an accoun with edelweiss but have friend working for their delhi office as broker. I have seen thier research reports and technically they are far from accurate fundamentally not sure

got it. i don't trade based on technicals.

they made quite a few fundamental calls that were very useful to me. a couple that come to mind are - orbit corporation and sanghvi movers.

by the way, the research reports are available for free on their website, so there is no need to get it from a friend.
