questions to ask your broker (before opening an acc)

#1
when i was looking for guidance as to what i should ask my broker before opening an account with him, i found scarce resources (i guess asked the wrong kinda questions to the wrong kinda people).

in any case, over a period of one year, i have collected a few questions, which i think every prospective client of a brokerage should ask.

-what are the trading hours (specifically, what time is intraday square off imposed)
-what kind of exposure and with what strings attached
-brokerage (kinda obvious :p)
-after market limit orders (if you require them)
-pay-in and pay out details
-what kind of checks do they provide (as in do they provide daily/weekly/monthly contract notes)
-monthly/annual charges (whether it be for platform, account maintenance etc)
-platform specific questions (what kind of charts, what kind of indicators etc)
-do they provide historical data? if yes, then in what form?
-do they offer prepaid brokerages? (tho many experienced people have suggested that newbies stay away from these, makes sense too)
-ask for a sample calculation. then save that paper (hopefully with the executives sign and card, so you can hold him later to it)

for fno, specifially,
-how is the mtm loss adjusted (do they square off in case of lack of funds)

as you can see, im very picky. but i believe i should be informed about all aspects before making any decision.

i'm still a noob, so any and all suggestions/additions are welcome.
