I became a member of Indiabulls in 2005 and was charged a rate of 0.1% for intraday and 0.5% for delivery. As my volumes were low at that time, I didnt really mind.
Over the years the competition became tougher and they started offering competitive rates to new clients 0.025% for intra day and 0.25% for delivery.
The most shocking part is that they are not willing to revise the rates for existing clients. What a way to treat clients who have been with them for four years! And its not that my current volumes are really low - they are close to Rs. 4 lakh everyday. Imagine to my horror the brokerage being charged by them.
And its just not that. Their client is really slow, especially if you are behind office proxy. Its so bad that you need to manually refresh the prices :O. Their customer service sucks. One day I was unable to login because their root certificate - of Verisign, had expired and I was unable to trade. I contacted Customer Service and asked them for a solution asap. To my anguish, they took one full day to address the issue. That is when, I asked them to do it on an urgent basis.
These might sound as exaggerated remarks of a disgruntled client. But you must imagine how you would feel if a company treats its old clients in this manner.
Its my advice to every one who is planning to use Indiabulls. Dont join them or you would repent in the time to come.
