Angel broking: Cheap brokerage and excellent service.

I am in big trouble!

I sold 100 uco bank share without purchase. Now what to do?
Hi Shouvik, There is nothing to panic one can adjust the shares via off market transaction. I advise you to arrange 100 UCO Bank shares from any of your friends or relatives if they have and do a off market transaction on Monday morning, but do return them the shares. This will help you to avoid penalty. I would also recommend you to call your branch once you transfer the shares off market, they will adjust the shares for you and by this way you can avoid the penalty and auction. Angel is customer centric. Even I was in the same situation few months back, I arranged the shares off market and the branch people did helped me.

HAPPY TRADING

Hi,

Thank you for the useful info, I've opened an account with angel broking today. They are providing 0.02% intra day, and 0.2% delivery, but they say minimum brokerage is Rs: 30 per transaction, I'm confused, if they charge Rs: 30 per transaction what's the use of getting 0.02 and 0.20.

Also, I've heard one needs to sign a stamp paper authorizing them to deliver stamps to my dmat account, but I haven't been asked for such a formality they say that's old process.

Also they assured to reduce my brokerage as my trade volumes increase, but I find them talking about some initial commitment. So, if my volumes go down they'll increase my brokerage.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks and Regards.

Hi, the brokerage offered to you is very low, 0.02% for intraday and 0.2% delivery. I think you are talking about minimum brokerage of Rs. 30/-. This will be applicable only if the brokerage is less then Rs.30/-, here they will add the differential amount and round it to 30. I think you should contact your branch or their customer care for better understanding. Even they have reduced my brokerage depending upon the turnover I do

Hi Guys,

I am newbie to trading going through my learning curve. I am trading through Angel and I find most what is written about them in this thread is so for true, except that it doesn't work through firefox. Also they do not have a mobile platform suitable for android 2.2. I have a Samsung Tab and I am not able to utilise the facility. I travel considerably but want to continue with my trading at my off base site too. Can any of you suggest a trading platform that is good for SAmsung Tab(Model-P1000). I scanned the web and found that IIFL Had such a platform but it has been such a lousy response that I'm yet to get a call from their Executives after umpteen mails. That got me wondering about their customer care and then I read all the remarks on this site. Now I don't think I will want to do any thing with IIFL. So pls suggest any other site with a good mobile platform as well as good customer care.

Hi, Angel has a trading software which works on Android 2.2. Even my friend is using Samsung tab and on his tablet its working fine. I would suggest you to call at their technical team once for assistance, they will be in a position to help you or else call at their customer care department

At last, after a zillion follow ups my account is opened. Here are the brokerage details.

1) For intraday: For shares whose price is below 100 the brokerage is 0.02 paise and for shares whose price is above 100 it is 0.02%.

i.e Brokerage(share price below 100)= No of shares * 0.02 paise
For above 100 it is = turnover * 0.02%

2) For deliver : Share price below 100, brokerage= no of shares * 0.02 paise
Share price above 100 = turn over * 0.2%

Minimum brokerage: Minimum brokerage is levied on the trades executed by you on a particular day. An additional brokerage will be charged to you with a maximum cap of Rs. 30 or 2.5% whichever is lower.

This means that, as per the agreed brokerage slab if you are unable to generate a brokerage of Rs. 30 then you will be levied an additional brokerage upto Rs. 30 or 2.5% whichever is lower in a particular segment.

Note: I didn't quiet understand this minimum brokerage thing, traderji's could you please explain me with an example.

Thanks and Regards.
