Which software to use for automation with IB TWS API

#1
I am interested to know if anyone has experience of using IB TWS API with an Automated Trading capable software on an Indian Exchange.

I tried NinjaTrader but it simply does not get feed from IB. Am checking out Amibroker now.

Anyone know of any other software that can do this for Indian NSE symbols?

you got to make a new connection in NT. if you try it in demo a/c you wont get any backfill.

ami has details on how to do it in its help files and supports backfill in demo a/c

again IB does not have backfill in demo mode for Indian stocks. for testing purpose one has to rely on US stocks. the sales team was clueless on any "systems" issues.

Actually, NT has a problem with the Symbol currency, which is INR for NSE Symbols.

NT support confirmed that NT 6.5 will not take feed from IB for NSE, as the symbol currency is INR. So in its present version, even if one buys NT, it will not automate trading on NSE using NT.

On the other hand, it will take feed from Yahoo, as the feed does not contain currency descriptor.

NSE/INR support has been scheduled for NT v. 7, being beta released in a few months.
