It provides intraday charting facility. but the problem is time interval. suppose i want to see 5 min charts, it show first bar time as 9.45 am with date 1/1/1970. second bar show time 9.53 am with date 6/1/2009 (todays date). after that next bar time 9.58 am ... and so on.. I am not been able to correct it. can anybody help on this matter.Another problem is i can not draw trendlines. so plz tell how to draw trendline. Thanks in advance Regards Nilaish |

Diet Odin, thought technically is built with the facility for charting, but NOT a single broker provides, Technical Analysis/Charting with the software. This is what I hate about our Indian Brokers. Other softwares like Tradeanywhere which do provide charting facility are full of bugs and missing data feeds for charting. Today I spent 1 hour talking about the 5 min charts not showing Day's intraday data in 5min format. but The tech guys were unable to understand. No, wonder we are called Third World Country citizens. I hope only when we see lots and lots of charting aware people demanding such technical analysis service from the broker, then we may see things improve. Perhaps, American brokers should come to India, so that we the traders could benefit. Till then try Technical analysis with Charting Software (Amibroker, Metastock, Fcharts, etc.) with live intraday Feeds from various vendors (e-signal, truedataindia, etc.) The softwares are costly and the data feed service is costly too for the retail traders like you and me. After purchasing $1000 dollar software metastock, one has to learn how to use that program, apart from various technical indicators etc.. that's a new learning curve. Annual data fees could range from 5000 to 50000. kinda sucks!!! You have to chase your broker for the Charting correction... be brave.. charge... |

Another welcome development would be when (if) the international brokers enter into Indian market, either directly or through JV with Indian brokers. Let us hope that good days are ahead to the Indian investor / trader. murthymsr |

SEBI said that they would start rating brokers. If they can do that honestly then expect a sea of change.
To tell you the truth most brokers make more money off the retail delivery trade than traders who look at charts. You may think that traders have high volume but they manage to mint more from a large population with complex schemes and high brokerage. |
