Is my broker fooling me???
Hi Friends, I am a medium to long term investor in market (in cash equity delivery), i dont know anything about derivatives and margins and i never go that side. The below statement i got yesterday when i left some amount in my demat. What is meant by 'Margin Utilised upto T-1 : 66.00' in below statement. i never go for any margin trading but statement shows something like that. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND THE MATTER HERE. Thnx in Advance. I think this report is generated when we trade in derivatives but as you said you don't know derivative and hence don't trade in them then you should ask about it from your broker. They can better explain you.
PS: They are not fooling you. I have received such margin reports when trading in derivative but not in cash. Last edited by Northie; 14th April 2009 at 07:07 PM. Reason: added ps
