ICICIDirect, BasketOrder, SLTP Price

#1
Hi,

I have a question on Using ICICIDirect's BasketOrder for placing limit orders during non-trading Hours.

I placed a buy order before Market opened[/B] for Crompton Greaves, Limit Price : 107.05 and SLTP:107, while the close price of the previous day was 106.

As soon as the market opened the above order was rolling, but my SLTP price was empty in the order book Eventhough I entered it and verified while ordering. By that time, the Stock price shot up to 112.

Can somebody explain why my SLTP went empty and my order did not execute when the price shot directly to 111?

Vidhya,

I don't really understand your SLTP problem. An obvious cause could be page display error or something.

And, ICICI server has dedicated pipes for pre-market orders I believe. Pre Market orders does not do well with ICICI Direct at times.

You sure you made stop loss trigger?

Yes. I did verify many times with the SLTP. Because, This is not the only time this has gone missing. probably, my stop loss order has been converted to limit order.. ? I do not know

Stop loss order is an order which comes live, only when the price reaches certain level. If the price "jumps" above or below your SLTP and your limit price is not in market price width, then your order would be just a limit order.
