Simple...
they want you to expose (read, deposit) more money for completing the transaction. It's a decent way from them for saying "Show me the money!!!"
Options available:
1. Write a cheque in their name & hand it over to them
2. Wire-transfer (e-transfer) the amount to them
3. Reduce the quantity of the order if amount not available

Hi Sunil,

Today my broker (RKG) was all at sea from 12:00 to 12:30. I modified an order and it got stuck in ODIN. Cant cancel, cant modify, and to my horror margin not released. :annoyed:

Got a message that it was due to some Sun outage. I thought NSE stops trading during sun outage. Later called up the broker and he says now NSE has upgraded something (shifted to IP from x.25) it seems, and so trading continues during sun outage.

Any idea about this.

Regards
arm.

NSE Circular:
Dear Members,

Sun Outage - Capital Market Segment

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has informed us that there would be SUN OUTAGE from March 05, 2009 to March 19, 2009 between 11:45 hrs to 12:25 hours, due to which trading members may face connectivity problems at different times on different dates based on geographical location during this period. Location wise impact due to Sun Outage is attached in Annexure 1.

Further, as intimated by the Exchange vide circular no. 660 (download no: NSE/MEM/11821) dated December, 30 2008, capital markets would not be closed and trading would continue in the normal course during Sun Outage period.

Members are advised to use alternative mode of connectivity instead of VSAT during the above mentioned period for continuing trading without any disruptions on account of Sun outage as specified in Annexure 1. In case members do not have any alternate arrangement and they experience any difficulty they should log out and re-login after the outage period specified in Annexure 1.

Members are requested to take note of the same.
