Hi,

A question for those using PIB.

There is an option to sell shares not in DP in PIB . What does that mean. Since there is another option which enables you to sell intraday. So when do we use the option to sell shares not in DP.

If we do sell shares not in DP can we carry forward short positions overnight.

Any clarifications appreciated.

Capricorn,

I always use that Option while Short Selling in intraday, becoz then 'Admin' will not Auto Sq off at 3.00-3.10,i get some more time say upto 3.25 but if we do not (actually hold the shares in any DP ) and do not square off by the day then 'Auction' is going to happen.

uashih sir
How do u square off shares sold in this segment(shares not in DP). Do u buy in cash or intraday.

i guess it would have to be in cash since intraday orders are not permitted after 3 PM. Right?

So brokerage would be charged for delivery for both transactions ????

Hi friends,
I am willing to open india bulls trading account to get live quotes in metastock using commercial softwares. But as for as I know there is time delay in this process because of pib software writes the market watch data in hard disk only after certain delay. But the softwares based on odin updates metastock immediately but intraday backfill is not possible in these softwares. The advantage in odin based softwares you can get option data as well as commodity data .Experts please help me to know information about pib in this matter.

:)

The time lag is 30 secs,if we are not making automated trading then from the charts we can know our mode of action & certain entry zone & after the decision is made we wait patiently for the price to come to that accptable zone for entry ,there MS time lag of 30 secs or 45 secs, is it very imp .
In 1 of my thread where Live trading was demostrated for months each & every day,Scalping trades where taken continuously each day looking at PIB & MS.:)
