The Wait is Over. IB is coming to INDIA

#1
Friends,

World's best retail broker is coming to India. They are strictly for retail, semi proffessional day traders. There software TWS has amazing features. You can forget all shitty softwares and websites of Indian brokers. Trust me. I used their services in USA and so excited finally we can trade through them on NSE.

I can't wait to see what they are gonna offer..

Read their new product and services section. I suspect they will charge higher than anybody else but I think their platform is worth it.

Thats great to see IB in Indian market. This will certainly set the ball rolling for other leading international brokers to step in our market. Wake up call for our domestic brokers. They will loose their institutionals / HNI clients if they don't improve fast enough.

Oh god, their marketing strategy is irritating, soon many id's on TJ will be talking about IB, starting threads and answering questions.
I found their trial software quite bad to say the least. Think or swim was better

but IB shall recruit staff from here only that too experienced one(from other Indian brokerage houses).
The problem is with "chalata hai " culture which is a bane for trader community in india.

see the ex of IL&FS, having tied up with E*trade, there customer care service is pathetic.

I got the glipse of the lethargic attitude of their stop while I was planning to open an account with them(tie-up with E*trade had intrigued me).

I finally dropped the idea.

Depends on IB's strategy of their target market. If they don't want to address retail buss in India, then they many not need many indian employees. They currently provide connectivity to various stock exchanges of the world (more then 15 I think).. They provide multi currency trading.. i.e. if I have USD account with them, I can still buy in any exchange of the world and pay in any currency. In the background , they will post
appropriate accouting entries to take care of multiple currencies.

IB gets its major buss from Institutional clients.. So by connectign to NSE, they might provide another avenue to these FII. Going forward, Asia is going to be the hub of world economy so it will get increasing focus from FII and IB is just getting ready to that I guess
