ICICIDirect technical problem today

Hi,

Did anybody else face any problem with ICICIDirect today? In my case, I had done two buy trades in F&O which showed as executed for about 10-15 min, open positions showing, and then they disappeared from tradebook as well as open positions. I am hoping that they don't show up as open positions which I should have covered!

Yes, experienced technical problem, though didnt trade with ICICI. The values did not refresh for some time twice.

Yes, and I lost money. Their server seemed overloaded, and many transactions were queued. They promptly squared me off for a loss when markets reversed. I was in profit for a long time. Just avoid icicidirect

Yes, from around 12 p.m. today they were not getting confirmations on order status from the exchange. Their call centre could not help as they were experiencing the same problem.

I lost some money cause my cover order did not execute even though stop loss was hit. God knows what. Their site is going from worse to worst with each passing day.

Volumes are low now, so God knows what will happen when it goes back to normal again. I think to trade properly we need two of everything, internet, PC, power backup and now broker backup.

Thanks folks for your comments. I am surprised that they stay in business with such a sloppy service and hefty commissions. But on the other hand, ICICIDirect is at the top of the poll on this forum - so 'we' keep them in business.

IS the problem persisting today as well?
I entered a F&O order and it showed requested for a long time. Atlast i had to cancel it since the price was not feasible!

YES. ICICI has become HELL.

Today again their systems packed up after 12 p.m. I lost money again. I have decided not to trade till I get an account with some other broker.

I wrote to customer service and they sent me some crap about satelite links, and what not.

I hope their satelites start working soon, or their customers will soon be broke or would have left.

Well when I called them up to check if this state of affairs is likely to continue or is this a temperory saga. The guy put me on hold for some time then came back and said "It depends on the number of orders tomorrow Sir, if it is high we may have problems again" :D

Maybe NSE could introduce one more type of stop loss trigger. If the number of orders at ICICI touches the danger level close your position.
