Can you help me with 'DP Balance', 'Client Stock Balance' etc.

Hi friends..
I am a new 'unfortunate' trader on the block...
I am trading with SHAREKHAN.
I am not a day trader as I have other job to do.
So, I thought I will buy today and sell in the next 1 or 2 or 3 days.

But there are many times my shares have gone for auction. :(
I have tried contacting sharekhan people but their answers have been very obscure and I was not able to understand anything they said.

So, now I ask generous friends here...

In sharekhan DP/SR report, there are 4-5 columns :
DP Balance, Receivable Balance, Client Stock Balance, DP Margin Balance, Margin Funding Balance, SK Locked & Net Available Balance

Can you help me with those.. What do they mean and when can I sell my stocks safely.

Some friends like "Raju" and "Suba_Stocks" have already answered few of my queries in other thread.. I thank them a lot.

Please tell me the meanings of :
DP Balance,
Receivable Balance,
Client Stock Balance,
DP Margin Balance,
Margin Funding Balance,
SK Locked &
Net Available Balance

Many many thanks

Sunil

Dear
You need to check only DP/SR report. Ignor other details.
Do not sell without stock. Do futures to do selling without stock in hand.
Short sell is more costly.

Kya koi meri madad kar sakta hai... ?????

Bhai log!!!
sunil , you are buying stocks under wrong category of your trading system i think, means that u r buying under margin trading, which means that u hav to square off your position ( sell stocks on same day ).

As , u said your stocks are goin to auctions, that tells that sharekhan may not be havin auto square off facility so u ned to do that manually.

So, buy shares under - cash n carry , delivery mode not under margin/future

I dont hav accnt with sharekhan but this is the general info u shld know.

clearly study/look your trading system from which u trade .

u can also learn how to do buy /sell orders if sharekhan has demo version of the trading system as most of brokerage comapnys hav it online.

Else, i advice u to kindly call your sharekhan nearest branch with which u hav your accnt or better you shld walk to their office and tell them to teach u how to place buying n selling orders alongwith other basic things.

Also, be aware n keep checkin frequently your trading accnt / bank accnt , balance , funds etc
Else , someone from sharekhan staff may take advantage of your innocence and operate your trading accnt without your notice as so many cases n complaints i hav seen n heard.

1) Receivable balance are the shares which will can come to your DMAT either after setlling the money to them or after T+2 days.

2) Client stock balance is the stocks you hold.

3) DP margin balance means the stocks which are delivered to your DMAT account. Sharekhan or any khan can't sell them without your permission.

4) Margin funding balance is your money you have with them. Actual money.

5) SK locked means Sharekhan locked? May be they will lock the shares which are to be squared off by themselves. Normally if we buy shares with the amount more than our margin then they will lock and sell it after some time.

6) Net available balance is the shares which will be available for you to hold as long as you wish.

Dude harshat, i think u got it wrong...DP margin balance is the percentage value of shares against which u get a margin...Say I hold shares worth 10000 and the haircut is 50%, then i get a margin of 5000..and if i dont pay up cash upfront for any delivery that I take, then i dont know about any khan, but Sharekhan can surely dispose of the shares in my DP Margin A/c...I learnt it the hard way with a 10k loss..:(
