query reg multiple trading accounts

Hi everyone. I wanted to ask whether I can have multiple trading accounts with the same demat account? Like, I have a trading account with SMC India but I don't want to close it. At the same time, I want to open a trading account with angel broking using the same demat account that I am using with SMC. If I stop trading with SMC but retain my online trading account, is it possible to have a trading account with both the brokerage houses?

Technically possible to have two trading accounts linked with single demat account.

Demat a/c is major source for income for trading house, I doubt Angel broking allowing SMC demat for their (angel) trading a/c. Please check with Angel trading for this facility.

ICICI / HDFC / Reliance allows only their Demat a/c for trading account.

Thank You for taking time to reply to this thread. I don't have a demat account with SMC, I have it with Union Bank of India. With SMC, I just have an online trading account.
