ICICIDirect was down today (27Nov2007?)

Hye

Would anybody have an idea as to why ICICIDirect was down today? I have been facing quite a lot of problems with ICICIDirect for some days now.

Some clues would be nice. No use calling up those jokers.

Regards

If u are an FnO trader there is nothing as risky  as trading with ICICIDIRECT.
The site was down after noon i think. This is becoming a regular problem. Better to change to any other broker:p

:( Yeah I agree. However I am at a loss as to which other broker could be better? As it is a comparison of the brokerages show ICICIDirect to be lower than most of them. (WOuld you believe that?)

I would definitely like to have somebody who has comparable brokerage or lower (as i trade on wafer thin margins). Who do you trade with?

:)
Thanks

As an alternative i trade with RMoney in Fno and cash(del.) as their access charges works out to only 1/4th of icici's brokerages!:D

My experience today. I placed to sell a lot NTPC Future at 248.5 , when i looked the order book it showed as order no NA but ordere place . I was irritated because I covered the option and not able to know the status . I mainly sell covered calls. .............In the evening only I came to know that my order was not executed. They will not kill you and let you live happpily sometimes.
If you are swing trader or short term trader then R money is good. But if you are day trader then dont trade in r money , sometimes you will not be albe to open the site and more important when you place order you will not know the order no and it will show as order placed , you will not know till more than one or two hours whether that order was executed or not. Most probably you will know after the closing hours of market. In futute trade it is very dangerous.I was held up like this many times. For brokerages on delivery or swing trading it is good but strictly not recommended to fast or day traders.
This is my experience .
balance it is upto u members
