Finally i have sorted out every thing....

do icicidirect give some offer on some days, for trading with less brokerage??? because on 20th n 24th they hav charged only rs.5(excluding Service Tax n STT) as brokerage for all my transactions...

If tat so, wher could we find those offers in their site????

I also use icicidirect.com and I've also noticed the discrepancy between the actual rates mentioned and the amounts deducted as per the contract note.

And moreover the amount debited from the account varies from the one mentioned in the contract note. How should I get this rectified?

BTST - Buy Today Sell Tomorrow
Not Every Stock you can have as BTST, you need to check the flag on stock in ICICI, You need to buy it in CASH and then next day, go to securities projection and sell it

STT - its a type of charge (Security Transaction Tax) included in your total brokerage charges
