Stupid newbie question...

What is the margin I need for 1 lot of Nifty Futures if Nifty is at 9250?
This is a margin table from RKGlobal which I really don't understand.
Which is the column I need to keep in mind? What does "Span" mean?
Is "Total Margin" the amount I need to have to buy one lot of Nifty?
Thanks a lot for looking through !!

Is it like 10% of (75*9250)? Or whatever each broker's margin percent is?
is it ,
Stpid newbie's - question
or
newbie's - stupid question

either way it is not stupid LOL:lol:

i think margin depends on the broker, for zerodha .. here is the margin calculator...
https://zerodha.com/margin-calculator/SPAN/

Margin also depends on
whether you want to trade intraday or to carry your trade for next day.
It also depends on broker to broker
As my broker requires a margin of about 56700 for overnight position at NF 9200.

yes total margin is what u need to look at for holding overnight.
For intraday it will be less ~ 40%
