Zerodha - Tracking Profit and Loss of EACH Trade

Hello Friends

Is there some easy method by which I can track the exact profit and loss amount for every single trade " intraday and delivery based both" that has been done in zerodha ? Suppose I have bought and sold 1000 shares each of 6 -7 Different Stocks on a given date. Then the evening contract note shows so many rows of individual trades "because it shows the 1000 shares trade as individual pieces and not as whole" that it becomes extremely difficult to put such information in excel sheet and find out the average buy and sell price.

I am just looking for some method by which I can get such information in excel sheet, for all the trades that I do on a given date -

Stock Name
Quantity
Buy or Sell
Average Price
Total Value
Net Profit or Loss of each trade

If you have any ideas about how such an excel sheet could be prepared, then please provide some guidance.

Open net position window to watch intraday cash/fno positions.
Open Holdings to watch your delivery positions.

from trade book you can copy paste data in excel but it may also show 1000 shares in pieces for that you need to sort data as per trade time and from that you can have fair idea about the trades you have done and as per hat just manually adjust the data to get required information.

if you provide me a sample file then i ll do it.

nac, this method will not work if we have to prepare the excel sheet for previous days trades.

Good that you have asked this, everyone need a thing like this.

I am travelling this week so next week I will try something in excel/google spreadsheet.

But one has to copy paste data manually from orderbook at the End of Day for report summary.

Your contract notes have that information, avg price. Check again.


Or if you're looking for all in one file, then you can make an excel for that. As Aska suggested, 'write to excel' from 'trade book' and write formula for the things you want. I predict that would need a lot of formulas.
