Hi,
Some banks state that it is not possible for NRI in US to trade in Indian markets. Is there any RBI/SEBI restriction? Can NRI open demat in India? Can US citizens open demat in India? |

NRI (except from US)can open demat account in indian markets.this may be due to banking regulation in US |

Are aware of any good brokers who is providing services to NRIs? I tried indiabulls, they provide service to resident in Gulf countries only. Regards, Kapil |

You can try ICICI if you are from other then US. they provide online facility , but there brokerage is quite high compared to others |

try www.jvfinancial.com. they advise how u can open demat account and trade from US. rule is that u cannot trade online , but over phone, email sms etc it is allowed. impossible for anyone to verify if u actually trade online though.
