jdm is quite correct, I too have never heard of any scams as far as ICICI is concerned, most other brokers have been involved in some sort of irregular practice at one time or the other even HDFC sec was caught up in the Gujarat IPO scam & were dirrected by SEBI to temporarily suspend the opening of new DEMAT a/c's but ICICI's reputation is untarnished, as far as I know.

ICICI is comparitively safe for Trading. As it is an integrated account you will get your money into your bank account as soon as you sell your shares. You can withdaw your money like any other bank account. so it is safe to trade online thru ICICI.

But people say they charge higer brokerage comparatively.

Completely unsafe yesterday only the site was not working for 3 and half hours from 12-3.30. Do you imagine the plight of people who would have taken position in derivatives and intraday. never trade with ICICI ASK PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOST MONEY TRADING WITH THIS SITE. U R NEVER SURE WHETHER U CAN SQUARE OFF YOUR POSITION AVOID IT AS FAR AS TRADING IS CONCERNED. mONEY IS SAFE INFACT ITS MOST UNSAFE BECAUSE WHEN U WANTED TO BOOK PROFIT IT DID NOT WORK AND WHEN THE SITE WORKED ONE HAD TO BOOK LOSSES. WHY BEAR LOSS BECAUSE OF SITE ONCE IN A WHILE IT CAN BE UNDERSTOOD NOT TIME AND AGAIN
