I use ICICI so... as you see.... I am with the highest brokerage firm. But please tell me something which will help me analyse my position again.

U mean 0.125% when u take delivery and again 0.125% when u sell, right ?

Is 0.125% is inclusive of STT (Securities Transaction Tax) and service tax ?

Please tell me if you take delivery of shares and sell them after say 15 days, what % of brokerage you will pay for this whole transaction including all taxes ?

This broker has given you any online program to place orders ? Is it web-based (thru browser) or u have to trade only from same computer where this program is installed ?

How do you transfer money to broker ? Thru cheque or online, through any payment gateway ? If thru gateway, are u charged for these transactions and at what rates ? If thru cheque, then does your broker allow to take position before clearance of the payment ?

Does this broker is also a DP ? If not, please tell me how do you manage to and fro transfer of shares as well as funds ? How much time it takes from (T) day ?

Lastly, does ur brokerage has any turnover slabs ? If so, what are they ?

The only reason why I am with ICICI is, it is 3-in-1 i.e. online trading platform, demat account and linking to my existing banking account. So control over all these 3 from any PC (with internet) without having to call anyone or go anywhere and at ANYTIME from any corner of the world has led me choose ICICI. Although I have read many a times about their slow-speeds in some other threads, I do not face that problem as I am not into intraday.

I request you as well as all seniors to please let me know if there is any other broker who gives all facilities as mentioned above and offers less brokerage with other advantages, if any.

Regards,

Abhay (AAD)

Alright... thanks... do you have an experience trading with them ? I will find out figures and net brokerage by talking to them but would like to know if trading on these platforms is safe ? With ICICIdirect, I never had problems like what I read in other posts like putting their own trades in your accounts, etc.. An experienced member of traderji if can vouch for safty trading on Kotak / Religare, as well as their uptime, servers / site going down when market is extremely volatile.... I will surely explore more. Also will keep you all posted..
