Post Is Geojit is the best !??? Some facts

Is Geojit is the best? brokerage-wise may be.

I should say, I am a "SAD" geojit customer. The following is from an email conversation with their customer care(There is only one point of contact ie; tradeonline@geojit.com [god like!], i didnt get a reply from them even after 10 days. Then i used their feedback system on the website, got response next day ;-) ). Hope this will be helpful to someone. Anyway, I started searching for other online brokers.

What are the features/draw backs of these plans? -
A. Brokerage charges for the three categories of Trading Platforms :

Platform type Trader description
Platinum High end traders.
Brokerage charge :-
The system would act as a virtual trading machine providing live and fast updates and confirmations.
A minimum monthly brokerage charge of Rs.3000. Client would need only to pay any additional amount above this when the actual monthly charges are informed to him.

Gold Traders who get live quotes.i.e. streaming
Rs.500 per month applicable after one month’s free trial. Client would need only to pay any additional amount above this when the actual monthly charges are informed to him.

Silver Traders who refresh the page to see current quotes.
No monthly charges.

Is there a minimum brokerage required for each plan?
And when it will be deducted from my account ( monthly/quarterly/yearly basis ) ?
On Quarterly based , we deduct the amount .

How can I switch between plans? - If you are want to switch to Platinum , you will have to put the request to tradeonline@geojit.com whereas if you are under Platinum , you will able to switch to both Gold and Silver.

In which plan, streaming quotes are available for the Ask/Bid screen? - In Platinum Platform

Can i do margin trading? What is the limit? - You will able to place under Margin . The exposure depends upon the scrips . You will able to view the exposure details from the Customer Care Site "Scrips available for Intraday Trades.
Online Fund Transfer available thru UTI, HDFC & Federal Bank.

There is no "Position" option in OFFLINE mode only in ONLINE mode !!!

NO expiry date. You have to place your StopLoss order everyday. Trailing StopLoss, hehe, what is that? ;-)

NO OPTION to view intrayday data, only intraday graph, and only one graph at a time, at least in the gold account

Do i need to register separately? - Yes

Can i logon to gcc.geojit.net directly? When i tried with my RMOL username (ITS***), it gave me error page. Or always i have to logon to RMOL, then the "CustomerCare" button? Customer Care Site (GCC) and the Online Trading Site can be accessed with two different set of password . We would send you the password for the GCC in your registered E Mail Id

Where can i view my demat Account? How frequently it is updated ( T+2 ) ? - It is updated on T+2 basis only . At times , the same will get delayed due to Payout Shortage
